How can anyone watching Sydney's collapse into utter military dictatorship and massive denial of freedoms and democracy while preparing for APEC's annual collection of Heads of State, believe that George Bush (for whom all of this is considered 'necessary', if not outright essential), or his crony John Howard, truly believe their pathetic propaganda sound-bites regarding 'liberty' and 'freedom' in a world of 'Democracy'???.

Be Afraid Australia - Be Very Afraid.

John Howard and his great friend, the American President who would be world ruler, have done their best to make all Australians afraid - afraid of those demonic, evil, Muslim fundamentalists who we are constantly brainwashed into believing want to destroy all freedom and western beliefs and liberties (If you want to see liberty in action look at downtown Sydney - and not a real fundamentalist in sight).

So afraid in fact that we will think nothing of spending $150 million for super over-the-top- beefed up security to protect the American leader (just how much security does Russia or China's leader demand while here?)

So afraid they hope we will not notice when that security is made to look completly pointless when an unauthorised group can get within ten metres of the President's hotel with three vehicles that were not inspected for anything like, say, a great big bomb! Fortunately for everyone concerned the bomb they chose to deliver was the publicity one that destroyed any credibility Johnny or George have in perpetuating this massive fraud on the suckers who are paying for all this - the US and Aus tax-paying, Muslim-fearing public.

To all you denigrators of this joke out there take a good long hard look at what a farce this security cordon actually is - and thank the Chaser for proving it to your irrational fear-blinded faces.

What do, Lawrence of Arabia, The Anzacs legend, British Prime Minister Arthur Balfour, King Richard the Lionheart, Yasser Arafat, Mel Gibson, Zionism, The Crusades, The Ottoman Empire, The Russian Revolution, The US, The United Nations, Two World Wars, Armageddon, Egypt, Palestine, Hesbollah, and the Current Israel-Lebanon war all have in common??

A heck of a lot actually. Ever wondered just what all the trouble is over the people who don't have a nation - the Palestinians (related to: Hamas, Hezbollah, PLO)?

The answers are all below...

Without Egypt's assistance in WW1 (yes!, the 1914-18 one) Britain could not have achieved the victory in the middle east over the Turks (remember the enemy in the Anzac legend? Well ANZACs were a major part of that victory led by the British Egyptian Expeditionary Force, which culminated in the Battle of MEGIDDO (yes again, the one famous for ARMAGEDDON) which came very near the end of WW1 in September 1918).

Lawrence of Arabia was fighting side by side with the Anzacs and British troops along with the fledgling Australian Air Force in that very famously named, but little remembered, or given it's right place in history, Victory.

Without this victory Britain would not have secured the British Mandate of (the land of) PALESTINE (gee - where have we heard that name before?)

Without this Mandate it is unlikely that there would be many more Jewish people in the region than there were in 1918 - around 55 000 or so. (currently 5 million plus - a roughly 10 000% increase in under a century - in a similar period Australia has undergone a roughly 400% increase although we have something like a hundred times the land area and we don't get killed in any significant numbers by our immediate neighbours (Bali and Darwin Bombings excepted)).

If that remained the case there could never be a chance for Israel to exist, Arabs outnumbering Jews in the region by a factor of roughly 9 to 1.

After WW1, with the approval of the League of Nations, Britain retained nominal control over the region, mostly inhabited by Arabs (Palestinian ones), after the Turkish remnants of the Ottoman Empire were evicted by Britain and her WW1 allies (including the US AND Palestinians!)

After WW1 was finally won the newly formed League of Nations (forerunner to the UN)approved the British Mandate for Palestine and Transjordan (the lands west and east of the River Jordan) and further approved a memorandum from the former British Prime Minister and then Foreign Minister, Arthur Balfour, which specifically excluded the land of Transjordan (the Eastern Bank) from the Balfour Declaration of 1917, which was the document that formally confirmed British intent to create a homeland for Jews in Palestine.

A MAJOR component of that Declaration (the entire document was written on one page in around 125 words) was the protection of the rights of the Arab population in the region "...it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine". This was directed to the Zionist movement from which Britain needed support. Actions ever since 1948 show that all bets from before that date are well and truly off.

The Declaration committed Britain to creating a Jewish homeland around Jerusalem and was in part a continuation of the Crown's obligation to protect the Holy Land from invaders as it did under Richard the Lionheart and all through the Crusades of the Middle Ages, but was more urgently designed to gain Jewish support for Britain's stalling war effort by trying to secure the hastening of US assistance to the Western Front and preventing Russia from aiding the Germans, and thus freeing up German soldiers and supplies from the Eastern Front, should the Russian Emperor be overthrown and the Bolshevik revolutionaries ally themselves with their German comrades.

There were significantly powerful Jewish economic lobby groups in both the US and Russia (as there were in both Britain AND Germany) hence Britain's need to secure Jewish favour before the Germans and their Allies - the Turkish Ottoman Empire - who controlled the land surrounding Jerusalem and had for over 600 years, could.

The declaration was successful on both 'fronts' and Britain and France and their allies gained ascendancy over Germany and their alliess, and the seeds of discontent leading to WWII were sown.

The British, in their need to survive by gaining whatever support it could in the depths of WW1, also promised, in return for their support in fighting the Turks and the Ottoman Empire in the Middle East, a secure homeland for Arabs in Palestine at the same time and we all can now see how that brilliant political defensive manoeuvre turned out.

On 29 November 1947, after the conclusion of WWII, the United Nations General Assembly passed the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine (United Nations General Assembly Resolution 181). This is used to claim majority International support for the concept of the State of Israel BUT THIS IS NOT SO! (see below).

This plan to resolve the Arab-Jewish conflict (of something like 3000 years on-going duration) by partitioning the Palestinian territory into separate Jewish and Arab states, with the Greater Jerusalem area (encompassing Bethlehem) coming under international control, was accepted by Jewish leaders (including the Jewish Agency), while Palestinian Arab leaders rejected it. Neighbouring Arab and Muslim states also rejected the partition plan.

The borders of the plan however, are pretty much exactly those now in such dispute in the regions of Lebanon, The West Bank and the Gaza Strip, with one big exception - the original plan called for two Jewish territories divided down the middle by Arab territory. (which would mean it would be the Israelis who would now have to gain Arab approval to pass and do business across the borders of their homeland and the Arabs might be the ones building twenty foot high concrete walls to separate Jewish groups from their places of work and friends and not the other way around).

Britain's will to maintain the Mandate had been depleted for various reasons during the horrors of WWII and they pulled out of their post-WW1 commitment to the region the day after the State of Israel formally declared it's existence in 1948.

This was almost immediately followed by the 1948 Arab - Israeli war and things 'ain't bin quite right' there ever since.

The war terminated the UN's hopes of establishing it's Partition Plan and it basically left the world's most newly formed State to look after itself in a region that never agreed to the whole idea in the first place.

The well resourced and connected Zionist Jewish communities in Britain and the rest of Europe, Russia, and the US, however, managed to ensure sufficient foreign aid (and immigrants) were pumped into the area to ensure their long awaited homeland dream of establishment and survival in the most inhospitable of possible environments. They don't even have significant oil resources!

Prior to 1918 the Palestinian land (the British Term for the area and one major source of the current term Palestinians) had been under the predominantly Muslim Ottoman Empire rule for some 600 years stretching back to shortly after the Crusades. Jewish religious groups were 'tolerated' during this time but were discouraged from forming large autonomous groups in the Empire, thwarting the main hope of the Zionists.)

Zionism is a much maligned word in English. It is sometimes used in an interchangeable way with the term 'Jewish' but not all Zionists are Jews and not all Jews are Zionists. Zionism is - simply put - the desire to achieve the goal of the re-establishment of a Jewish controlled land with Jerusalem as its major religious centre.

(The US has been one of the strongest allies of Zionism, financially and politically, in the last 100 years. It is interesting to note their desire to support the re-establishment to power of Israeli's of their homeland over this period while at the same time not showing anywhere near the same desire to re-establish the long held and established home of the Navaho, Arapaho, Commanche, Apache, Iriquois, Mohican and a host of similar sized nations to that of Israel in a region much closer to the American Hearts. One can only wonder just why this should be in such a democratic nation?)

Ironically, there existed among non-Zionist Jews the fear that, if such a land was ever established, it might lead to something similar to the Holocaust, whereby Jews who had made very successful lives in the major regions of commerce around the globe could be 'forced' into exile back into Palestine and out of the European and American capital cities.

The recent 'molehill' over in Los Angeles concerning the drunken ramblings of a catholic-raised actor and recent film producer, while not being excusable in terms of the ideas allegedly spouted from a man who was clearly not in full control of his faculties at the time, (let's remember for a second that what Gibson said was said to a police officer who was arresting him for drink driving and he is therefore not alone in saying things at such a time that they would regret and never state to a wider group or community in sobriety), could now perhaps be seen to be, at least in part, based upon seeds which contain a mild amount of truth.

Jews of course have not caused all the wars in the world, but certainly in both the 20th and 21st centuries, much as they were in the 12th,13th and 14th centuries and again in the centuries covered by both Old and New Testaments of the Bible, the Jews play a disproportionately large, and sometimes poorly reported role behind the scenes, in the most well known and costly wars of the Western world.

I shall refrain in this monologue from placing Osama bin Laden, 9/11 and Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran and Syria into the picture but there are links that can be established quite easily and clearly for anyone who wishes to discover for themselves.

I fully realise that my research and reporting of it in this manner could easily be used to level a charge of Anti-Semitism - that undefendable specific curse of pro-Jewish lobby groups levelled against anyone who challenges their beliefs - against me.

( I always wonder why there are no specific terms for almost any other form of prejudice such as the current hatred of Muslims (technically Arab Muslims are 'Semites' too, so such hatred is also Anti-Semitism! But you will never hear such a charge levelled against anyone who firebombs a Muslim mosque. Anti-Semitism is almost a unique form of racism or type of intolerance, in that it has become a highly specific form of prejudice, the merest hint of which is attempted to be utterly obliterated, and the perpetrator vilified to the maximum degree possible in the media. Jesus was a Jew by birth and practiced forgiveness and tolerance - this seems to me to be a feature that his brethren by accident of birthplace just don't get in the slightest. Perhaps that is what happens when you have been persecuted for your beliefs for over three thousand years - fortunately I don't have such a problem ( yet! : ) ) )

I by no means deny the right of any group or religion to exist or to practice it's beliefs.

I do object to the countless number of innocent dead people who were killed by others unnecessarily over what is primarily one groups belief that GOD promised and gave them a piece of land in perpetuity, and to the unexplainable and obscene amounts of money countries such as the US provide to one country to maintain 'peace' when it has never existed there, nor can it have a chance to exist without mutual agreement by all people who have lived there for millennia.

Virtue can only get you so much

One of the greatest truths and finest realisations Religion has ever revealed to Man is that 'Virtue Is it's Own Reward'.

It is therefore more than a little hypocritical of them to recognise that the rewards thusly obtained are insufficient to send missionaries on nice overseas holidays to ensure the word of Their God gets spread to all and sundry or to build the massively over the top and ornate 'Homes of God' ( not to mention their own slightly less ornate homes like say, The Vatican) as befits the leaders of a group of millions and that therefore it was necessary to pass the collection plate around for the poorer people to give what they could and to ensure that on their deathbeds the servants of Mammon (massive wealth) handed over portions of estates to the church who could ensure the salvation of their eternal soul.

In other words, being virtuous can only get you so far then ya gotta hustle some money!

The logical conclusion of which is anyone who hustles better and more than you do controls more than you can - if you wanna be the best ya gotta hustle the most. If at all possible enter into a cartel - assuming you can trust those who enter into it with you.

Problem! It becomes fairly easy to spot the bastards who have control over you and resentment, ultimately ending in violent revolution to overturn those in power, results.

Solution? Get as many of the little people as you can to hustle just like you are doing then what you are doing becomes ever harder to spot. Thus was the reasoning that created the Advertising Company.

Be virtuous ( if you can).

Accept that those who can't will want to turn you into one of them to make themselves feel better about their lack.

KNOW that you are better than that and deserve more than what they choose for their selfish selves.

Spread the word to as many others as you can in as many ways as you can.

(the word being that materialism is a very poor and unsustainable substitute for personal moral growth)
